The Laws of the Game - 2024-25 Update
IFAB are the guardians of the Laws of the Game, comprising of four British football associations (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) and FIFA. Each year the Laws of the Game are reviewed, and feedback is obtained from national associations and the Football and Technical Advisory Panels.
This season’s main changes relate to handball, Penalty Kicks and Temporary Dismissals. These new changes are to be applied for the new season including current pre-season games.

Sin Bins are an established part of the grassroots game. Following the law changes, the implementation of these for 2024/25 season has been made easier.

Safe Play Guidance
Ahead of the Play Safe Weekend 2024, on 28th and 29th September, the FA are offering free advice and guidance on keeping children safe in football. During the Play Safe Weekend, all of football will unite in support of safeguarding and creating a safer game for everyone, everywhere, every time.
